Jared Emerson-Johnson

I make music for video games.

Hi! I'm Jared Emerson-Johnson.

Since 2002 I've been the music man at Bay Area Sound—writing music, creating sound design, directing voiceover and acting in all sorts of games and occasionally in other media.

You may know me from my scores to the Walking Dead or Wolf Among Us series from Telltale Games, or perhaps you have found yourself here because of my more recent work on Batman, Guardians of the Galaxy, or Tales From The Borderlands.

Regardless of what initially brought you here, welcome! I hope I can provide you with whatever you're looking for—if not, please feel free to reach out and ask!

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures: The Bogey Man

Here are the last couple tunes I'll be posting from Telltale's Wallace & Gromit series. These are both from the last episode: The Bogey Man.

The first is a noir-esque tune that plays during the sand trap sequence, and the second is a big operatic finale for Gromit's last action sequence in the golf club.

I'd like to give a shout out to all of the tremendous musicians who performed on this soundtrack: Daniel Gianola-Norris on cornets, trumpets, french horns, and flute; Chip Tingle on euphoniums, trombones, and tuba; Jordan Wardlaw on clarinets and saxophones; Denis Harper on oboes and english horns; and Miranda Kincaid on bassoons. So much of what I love about how this score turned out is because of their great performances.

Thanks too to the great recording engineers, Bill Storkson, Jory Prum, and Tyler Straub (of AudioSFX and studio.jory.org)
